Weather in Paris was perfect today—-about 21 degrees and sunny. It was like a summer day with lots of people sitting at cafes. After class, I walked another 4.5 hours and went shopping until I dropped. I won’t mention what I bought but suffice to say I visited and bought items from Hermes, the kitchen store, Dehillerin, and the home décor store, Maisons du Monde. Continue reading →

Finished another race in Paris!!! Had a great time running the “ 20 km de Paris ” and I am rewarding myself with a baguette with brie and bacon!! Who cares about calories and fat! I burned over 1300 calories!
I often say, “I just eat to live” rather than “I live (!) to eat”. However, maybe I am in denial. I keep blogging about food and doing “food” experiences like today.
Had my final class at Accent Francais and there was a little celebration on the terrace where we received our certificates and imbibed in a little wine (and chips!). Then I made my way to Paris, via Air France. Fortunately, it was uneventful.
I will never starve in France. Had a wonderful dinner at “La Girafe”, just around the corner from my apartment. It got great reviews on Tripadvisor.com so I checked it out. The portions are small but everything is exquisitely done. Lots of flavour and a beautiful presentation. Continue reading →
